Roles and Responsibilities Bar Manager 1. Manage the business aspects of the bar, such as negotiating supplier contracts and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals. 2. To monitor stock movement and be responsible for inventory management. 3. Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that the bar is well staffed during peak hours. 4. Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls. 5. Ensuring licenses are updated and in line with current legislation. 6. Speaking to customers, answering questions, handling complaints. 7. Ensuring the bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, etc. Bartender 1. Ensure guests are serviced within specified time. 2. Cash up bills and ensure that the correct amount has been paid. 3. Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials. 4. Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol. 5. Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations. 6. Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences and making recommendations. 7. Assist guests with table reservation and seating. 8. Greet customers and hand out menus. 9. Able to answer any questions regarding menu and assist with menu selections. 10. Take beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen. 11. Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers. 12. Set tables according to type of event and service standards. 13. Prepare the bill for tables when requested. 14. Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked. 15. Developing new cocktail recipes Bar Helper 1. Checking customers identification and age verification 2. Maintaining a clean and organized bar area, including quickly responding to spills and other health and safety hazards. 3. Speaking to customers, answering questions, handling complaints. 4. Preparing and serving high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages 5. Serving food and snacks 6. Ensure that all guests requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively 7. Clearing tables, wiping surfaces and operating the dishwasher to ensure ample glassware is available 8. Any other duties as directed by the Restaurant & Bar Manager or other member of the management team Desired Candidate Profile Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management / Bartending or Beverage with relevant experience.
