Food preparation: Preparing, cooking, and serving food, including special meals for clients Menu planning: Planning menus, determining portion sizes, and estimating food requirements and costs Stock management: Monitoring stock movement and ordering supplies Hygiene: Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene, keeping the work area clean, and following hygiene regulations Safety and sanitation: Following all safety and sanitation procedures, including temperature checks, food labeling and dating, and cleaning schedules Teamwork: Coordinating and participating with other sections of the kitchen Training: Keeping up to date with new products, recipes, and preparation techniques Other duties: Overseeing subordinate personnel, ensuring food is stored properly, and reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management
